A Bit AboutKMI
KMI (Kinesis Myofascial Integration) springs from the pioneering work of Dr. Ida P. Rolf, as developed by Thomas Myers. KMI consists of a multi-session protocol of deep, slow fascial and myofascial manipulation, coupled with movement re-education. KMI is one of a number of schools that train practitioners in ‘Structural Integration,’ Ida Rolf’s name for her own work.

Building on KMIStructural Integration
A key to KMI us the practitioner's use of visual analysis to identify how a body is out of alignment. Structural Integration builds on KMI and Functional Methods of analysis by using the body's response to light pressure to identify where it's ready for change.
This allows the Structural Integrationist to identify deep structural issues and work more lightly, with more delicate structures. This technique is easier on the patient and yields longer-term, more effective results. |
Building AHealing Plan
Building on KMI, Suzanne uses SI to identify where the body is ready to experience more freedom, where the body is ready for change. Then using the full range of her skill set, Suzanne can gently release deep tensions, misalignments, and bindings. The release of these restrictions allow the body to easily and effectively move towards natural homeostasis.
This approach can provide long-term relief of a wide variety of chronic issues. Over a series of sessions, Suzanne works with her client to re-align and free deeper structures to bring greater levels of freedom and relief from pain. |
